Shri Morjee Temple

Situated at Morjim, this is another temple which is located at Pernem Taluka, 15 kms from Mapusa. The temple complex is situated around sylvan surroundings.

The major festival of this temple is Kalas Utsav' which is celebrated once in three, five, seven or nine years is the main festival of this historic temple, situated at Morjim in Pernem taluka. The last seven days of this festival, which lasts for almost a month from Phalgun Shudda to Panchami, is celebrated in a ceremonial manner. Even people from outside Goa come to celebrate this festival. This festival being the most famous one is not the only one celebrated. Annually melas called 'Zatras' are held here. Dussehra as well as Gudipadwa are days of celebration.
